Not that anyone really cares but I need to write things down (I guess type things down) to remember things. Sunday mornings are a "down time" for me so hopefully I'll remember to add to this every week.


Sunday May 29th (Memorial Day Weekend)

1. My wife doesn't like to go to the beach as much as I do; which is why I am not there.
2. the 1973 draft is very good, maybe 15 or so guys worthy of a 1st round pick....work on this Chris.
3. The 1927 draft has Jimmy Foxx, one of the Waner brothers and a whole lot of bad 1930's pitchers.
4. Corner Oufielders have a higher +/PO ratio than centerfielders. Many of them get less chances and still have more + plays than I expect a high range CF to get.....as soon as I get a chance, I must try the D/A+ guys in left and right with a A+/C guy in center.
5. I suspect that the 8+ million salary batters are only worth it if their SLG% is very high (from Albatross league).
6. Below Average AAA players tend to over perform in single season progressive leagues
7. The "5" Pull Setting for a starter pitcher is to unpredictable to use effectively as a way to manage a staff unless you have more than 1300 innings.
8. Minnesota has two n's and one t.

This applies to relief pitchers regardless of their innings pitched......

I use 5 all the time when using bad relievers.   If you have enough innings it's a good way to "maximize" their effectiveness.  Often times (in progressive leagues) I'll need someone to pitch the 4-6 innings.  I'll set some chubs at Long B, Pull setting 5 and hope 2 or 3 of them can get me to my good relievers at set up A.

They get yanked quick but they'll stay in as long as they pitch well.

I recomend ~B/A- guy in center.  I have use '98 Nixon there with '25 Carey (D/A+) in right.  I have also used '13 Speaker (D/A+) in right.  The D/A+ work nicely with modern pitchers, tho you still might overpay for range. 

I've had 5 pull setting relievers give up 3-4 runs on regular basis before they're yanked, is this normal?

That has not been my experience, but I think there are many factors to consider, most importantly game score and pitch counts.

The comment wasnt about counting - it was about the double N and single T - which causes problems for many people.

Mr. Babar, is that with one B or 2?
