Congratulations and thank you Mwett! Topic

You have managed to enter 10 teams in MLBT2419 Tournament of Champions. All 10 teams the exact same roster, except of course for the players picked off WW with the 1.6 mil$ bonus.

Thanks to your keen sense of observation, a quick glance at some of the most "successful" OL owners and teams, you figured out who the current (as in last 15 years or so) infamous "cookie" players are, and put together the ultimate cookie cutter roster one could come up with.
Obviously, a bunch of other owners had come to the same conclusion and had already drafted that exact same team years before you did, to the point where one of them actually accused you of stealing "his" team in one of the OL forum about a year ago.
But nobody had ever had the balls, or lack of, to simply copy paste that same roster ad nauseam to enter it into every single OL over and over.

I genuinely tried to figure out what the motivation could be, I mean, gone are the days where one could exchange reward points for $20 Amazon gift certificates, so it couldn't possibly be to purchase cheese macaroni and pop tarts online in order to feed oneself.

As I kept pondering, I couldn't help thinking of all the fascinating hours I'd spent in the draft center trying all sorts of combinations, thinking about all the different ways to try to win, high batting average team, OBP team, super speed team, range team, dominating starters and pitching staff, homerun team, Coors team, Petco team, or even sometimes, not even drafting to win, but to test different stats and results, or even try and go for an individual player or team record, it was just so exciting to imagine all the various possibilities. So much so that I just couldn't possibly imagine why anybody would throw all that excitement away.
I mean, sure winning is fun, we all want to win, but sacrificing all the fun and satisfaction of being creative, of trying different things and strategies which a sim game like this offers, to "dominate" in the most obvious and broken way, is just so boring...
I have won my fair share of games and championships, even won 4 TOCs through the years, on this and my other accounts, but never even once did I come back with the exact same team, I just couldn't do it, I always had to try something different, at least a little different, and I've noticed that almost all owners are like that, they very rarely draft the same roster twice.

I just thought, no... that can't be, Mwett is obviously a smart guy and heck, even his team names show a certain flair and no lack of creativity.

So I just kept on pondering and it suddenly dawned upon me.
What is the only logical and possible reason why a smart and creative person like Mwett could just keep on copy pasting the same roster over and over again, and enter it into every single OLs?
Is it because he wants to fill half a TOC by himself thus make certain that he will win enough reward points in order to keep drafting the same roster, enter it in every single OLs to then continue to fill half of TOCs and.... (loop)

Nah, I'm sure he's bored with it and doesn't care for winning easy anymore.
Surely, what Mwett really wants is to force the new WIS dev team to FINALLY go ahead with a new dynamic salary update!

Thank you Mwett, someone had to do it, I, and I'm sure others who will have understood your quest, appreciate your sacrifice.
Also thank you for keeping me out of OLs, thus saving me money, until the dev team understand the depth of your one man crusade against the utter bore of cookie cutter OL dominion.

just4me, trust me, I know what kind of roster to put together to beat his team. I have done it in the past.
But the point is, I like OLs because I enjoy putting together all sorts of teams and win different ways, like I explained in my original post.

Sure I could decide to focus on his team but that's not what I'm playing for. I just find it annoying to ALWAYS have to play THAT team. And as you pointed out, more and more owners are drafting these same players, not the entire full roster like mwett does but you see those players way too much.

It just baffles me that the guy can just keep on doing this over and over in order that he can keep doing it over and over...

I totally feel you on that. The fun of OLs for me is to throw something new together or test something.

But not everyone plays for the same reasons or enjoys the game same. Some think the number of championships or their owner rating actually mean something or think it gets them the respect of other owners, or whatever.

That’s part of why I did the bounties a few years ago, to spice things up and show people there was more than one way to win an OL… they were fun and I played way more OLs then that I ever did elsewise. But lots of people just like easy, no effort, solutions… especially if it brings them what they perceive as success and/or recognition

I like bounties, I participated in a few gbonini had going last year.
I didn't win anything but it was fun.

Wow, you're right Funky, just when I thought one couldn't possibly aim any lower...
Seriously getting nauseated at having to play him and that team in every single OLs

Quite the post-impressionist picture you painted there Eastvanmungogh

Welcome to the club Lenny, where we serve a daily dose of all you can eat mwett noodles buffet.
He says that I am in the wrong religion or mindset and thus, I am going to hell. He has said it scores of times. He believes it - ok - but you don’t say it.
I don’t like his style.

Sorry Lenny, you lost me there...

Who said what?

Or are these lyrics to a song or something?

No - serious. In another area of the forums there is discussion of politics and music and TV and movies and sometimes religion etc. I don’t want to get into serious stuff here but he thinks that people who do not agree with his religion will go to hell. And he gave me rather hateful warnings and accusations sometimes with Bible quotations a ton of times. Literally, not in some kind of satirical way.

I do not begrudge anyone’s belief no matter how much I think it is wrong but it is rather impolite to say the least to tell people in a totally explicit, edgy and serious way that they are going to hell.
Im biting my tongue right now actually.
It is not a joke.
