the teams available in the AL are - I just used the last city of play for each team:
AL North
- New York finished the season at 81-81, they have a few above average pieces, just need some tender care to get them over the hump and back into the playoffs. Picks number 14 in the draft
- Pawtucket finished @ 54-108..........they need a patient owner to come in a turn the ship around here. They have parts coming up the ranks, but with a few FA acquisitions, and they could be in contention again. The bonus of the franchise, is that it has the Number 1 pick in the draft. :)
AL East
- Chicago finished up at 67-95.........being in this division is a battle and a half, what with being with the Charleston franchise. The previous owner kept them in relevance for most of his tenure here.....could be an interesting franchise to take over. Picks 5th in the coming draft
NL North
- Cincinnati finished @ 83-79, only 4 games out of first in the division..........the pieces are there to take it to the next level i believe, to take the division this coming season. Picks 16th
NL East
- San Juan finished @ 77-85, 19 games back, but don't let that fool you. With a couple of tweaks, either with FA or bringing up from the farm, could be in contention. Picks 13th in the draft - awaiting on Frank to re-claim his squad here
NL South
both of these franchises had replacement owners come in and try and settle it down.....both did a pretty decent job of it, and was much appreciated.
- Mexico City finished @ 76-86, for second in the division............just needs some care and a plan to take the division. were once a proud franchise, just fell on hard times the past few seasons. Picks 12th.
- Houston finished @ 62-102, and it has been one of them middle or the road franchises for the most part, that just needs a special owner to get them to prominence and dominance. Has the Number 2 pick in the Draft.
