After looking at that team, I'm already resigned to playing for the wild card.

Why I didn’t set up lineups when I entered my teams, I’ll never know. Trying to remember what my plans all were.

This just in: Babe Ruth is good. I have two Ruths this round. Their performances on opening day:

$110M league - 1918 Ruth - 4 for 4, 3 HRs, 1 3B, 3 R, 6 RBI
$140M league - 1923 Ruth - 3 for 3, 3 HRs, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 4 R, 4 RBI

For those keeping score at home, that's a combined OPS of 4.857

From my writeup:

If any of my other teams play poorly I’ll be disappointed, but if this one does I’ll be downright sad.

The team that I wrote this about is 0-4.

interesting pattern so far:
AM1 2-4
PM1 5-1
PM2 2-4
AM1 2-4
PM1 5-1 with only loss allowing 6 runs in the 9th to schwarze. lets hope PM2 looks better than the expectation this team is setting.

I've played a boat load of 1-run games so far. Historically, roughly 25% of your games will be decided by 1 run. We've played 48 games so far. I've played 23 1-run games, almost half of my games are decided by 1-run. Generally speaking, that's not good. You want to win by margin. The best teams typically have a good run differential which means good Exp Win%.

Since 1-run game results are mostly just luck, a high propensity of 1-run games means my teams are basically .500 level teams. And how my overall record ends up will be mostly just how lucky I can get in these close games. So far, my 1-run game record is on the lucky side.
