i thought the same about hartwick this year, but am pretty discouraged by my results against the top teams, too. oh well. Hopefully the RNG will be kinder to me in the postseason than it was last night.

It is interesting to take a look at the new "prestige" ratings and the D3 Dynasty List. Looks like wronoj did a pretty good job.

thanks. looks to me like "prestige" is quicker to rise than you would be able to do here (Keuka, in my conference, is at A- after one great season last year, not yet qualified for my list)... otherwise, most of the teams at the top of my list are near the top in prestige, too.

I am trying to figure out whether or not I will include prestige in future listings here (not as a factor in dynasty status, but simply for comparison's sake). Likely will depend on whether or not I can come up with a simple way to attach it to the teams in Excel.

My Defiance squad has finally drawn a little ink in this ranking. It would be an honor to be a part of this list. Hopefully I can make my case a little stronger with a win against that dreaded Anderson foe of mine. This will be the third time we have matched up in the HCAC finals in the past five seasons.

Chicago is sick of getting their arse handed to them, hopefully we can take it out on my conference mates and sneak back into the NT. If I can't make the NT, then its probably safe to assume that I won't reach my stated goal of getting Chicago into the top 3 programs by the end of next season (if that was even possible anyways)
I managed to scrap and claw my way into the NT after the 3-7 OOC showing. Unfortunetly I get a rematch w/ Baruach who just wiped the floor w/ me in the preseason. They look poised for a deep NT run. Gonna have to dig deep in game planning for this one.

Baruch is tough, for sure. Whupped me this year. I just got crushed in my CT finals to drop to a dreaded 4-seed. Not what I was hoping for.

And I didn't like seeing you as the #4 seed there wronoj...hopefully we advance far enough for a rematch though...
9/5/2007 10:57 AM
l_e, you were not exactly the 1-seed I was looking for, either. GL, and hopefully see you in a couple of nights.

messed up when I read the NT breakdown email, and wrongly fingered Baruach as my next opponent. I've still got a tough game, but not the same caliber as Barauch so perhaps I 've got a fighting chance to advance a round or 2.
A hartwick v Brandies sweet 16 matchup would be fun to watch.

I thought I would get a 1-seed. Not overly disappointed with a 2-seed, but it would have been nice to get a little love from the selection committee. In the other worlds (as taz can attest), my guys are usually poised for deep runs in the tourney. For some reason, my W CT St teams have always checked out early. I hope we can reverse that this year.

Well, I fell short of the NT and managed a spot in the PIT. So much for Manchester being added to the dynasty list. Oh well.
9/5/2007 3:44 PM
PIT gets you into at least the others receiving votes section, as you have made 4 out of 5 postseasons. Your score won't be as good, but it still counts.

Defiance lost again to the Anderson juggernaut. Still made the NT and hoping to ride the wave to the Final 4 as a 6 seed.

you've got a tough road, limb-- emory in the second round and bugs' W Conn St team in the Sweet 16. Not to mention a 1st-round game you cannot overlook.
