220 Bucks huh.
If you truly don't need or want it, I'm glad the formula for doling out the credit didn't give you more I guess.

Now, IF you're so horrified by receiving it you could always donate 200 Bucks to some worthy person and still be 20 bucks up!
What a good policy that tax credit would end up being IF everybody who was in the same shoe you are did the same thing!

You could be serious about it, do the research etc............. OR you could just take a homeless person to a shower and a meal and a new pair of boots.
Or take a drunk to dinner, whatever.......... the pay it forward proposal would turn this outrageous governmental waste into a way to connect humanity.

Kinda unintended consequences in reverse.
The universal zig to the zag.

New pending deposit from the IRS in my checking account today. Going to push the balance from $48609.21 to $48829.21. Big win for the starving children!

P.S., yes, I recognize most financial advisors would prefer we keep somewhat less in checking. We just bought a house in March and a car in October, have the 2 little girls, and feel a little more comfortable with some extra liquidity.
Great, dahs...you don't need the tax credit. That is great for you, but there are thousands of people who do need the tax credit. Should they lose it just because you don't need it?

And the money is not just for “starving” kids but to allow some kids who have to eat mcdonalds and other cheap unhealthy food to get a better diet of food more often.

If a family is struggling it is help and right back atcha trump tax breaks for rich people.

This is a no brainer. Or a full brainer.

Generally speaking eating McDonald's and other cheap unhealthy food is still more expensive than eating raw or frozen vegetables and frozen chicken strips from the grocery store. None of that takes more than 15 minutes to prepare. Often the problem is one of access. The money is not enough to get you out of a food desert. Maybe the federal dollars would be better spent establishing access to healthy foods in areas where it is currently restricted. But then you wouldn't be giving a bunch of swing voters a check every month, would you?

I had a big response to Wylie typed out that I lost, maybe I'll recreate it tomorrow.

Are you suggesting the $220 should not have been awarded then?? Would you be happier if they TOOK $220 AWAY from you?

What would it take to make you happy?? Don't say Heaven, cuz you might be disappointed that there are no bars there..

Or they could actually give more to the folks who actually need it, instead of lazily doling out money to folks who don't.
