I think it's closer than you think already.
Rollins (x2)
Happ
Ruiz
Blanton
Lidge
Romero
Polanco
Madson
Utley
Durbin
Schneider

I may be missing some, but that's at least 12 DL trips from 11 different players that were/would have been on the Opening Day 25 man roster.
2009 Mets DL, probably missing some:

Wagner
Beltran
Reyes
Pagan
Delgado
Santana
Perez - This one wasnt really a negative
Church
JJ Putz
Maine
Fernando Martinez
Sheffeild
Wright
Neise

I think Schneider was on the DL last season also.  That brittle ****
6/29/2010 4:08 PM
Brian Bocock....siriusly?

I have less people blocking me than anticipated.

Bocock, more like Mo ****.

I mean I get that they don't want to pull the trigger on Dom yet, but I don't think, with Castro and Valdez already on the roster, they had to call up 2 infielders.  Dobbs and Mayberry would have made more sense to me.
6/29/2010 4:16 PM
Dobbs blows.  I mean he sucks really bad.  Like really bad.
6/29/2010 4:18 PM
Lots of local speculation that the Mets are looking to make a move for Cliff Lee.  How much better do you guys think Doc is doing, compared to what Cliff did for you last season
6/29/2010 4:20 PM
He's not, I don't think.

I mean, he is better, but that's not what you asked.

True,  the more I hear about the potential trades, the more it seems like the Mets wouldnt offer their top SP prospect, which Id think makes it a no brainer for the Mets to do.  Also means the M's would be mildy retarded to do.

Slight edge to Halladay.  mostly due to 42 extra innings in 4 extra starts.
