I agree about their statues and what said.

I am probably not the person to try and defend "woke".
I am an old white guy.
However, I DO TRY and be woke...........as I understand it, and I also admit to failing on occasion.
I tend to be rather intolerant by nature of a few things and "fad-ism" or PC culture are a couple of those things.
None the less, failings or NOT I TRY and be aware, which is what woke is, I think.

If trans or trans-questioning teens were able to get puberty blockers, they would never gain the biological edge that is given to the male body during puberty. If Lia Thomas had been given puberty blockers as a teenager, she would effectively have the same performance as any other woman. But conservatives fight super hard against this. Finally, we have no idea how much being trans has helped Lia. Statistically, trans women and cis women could be the exact same in terms of athletic ability and we would still see some trans women succeeding. I think some people underestimate how draining the hormone changes are for trans women. It's not like Lia is just a normal guy who hops in the pool with women.

Lia will never affect you.
She is a swimmer at University of Pennsylvania.
She has smashed numerous Ivy league records.

Also I, personally, never "condemned" any group of folks. I was simply pointing out that many folks out there waving the "Woke" flag are absurd and I highlighted 2 examples.

No different than when some radical group of "Christians" violate every teaching of Christ and do something crazy. We often see the reaction includes collectively bashing Christians as a whole. It's human nature.

Maybe the worst part of MLK shortcomings were fictional BS created by a very terrible man in Hoover. Hopefully that is the case. Regardless of what is or isn't true, his positive impact on society and the world will always be worth celebrating.

This is a matter of complexity that does not get happy smiley face results. It is unfortunate but certain facts cant be dismissed and society should be mature enough to recognize that sometimes you cant have a one size fits all solution.
