7-17 through four. Brutal. So I'll distract myself with the following tidbit.

1989 Les Lancaster, who is on my $120M team and who in RL in 1989 had a single and a double in 11 at bats with no stolen base attempts, has a speed rating of 97. In his career he had 4 doubles, no triples, and no SB attempts in 102 ABs. His yearly speed ratings, chronologically, are 94, 97, 97, 98, 98, 20, and 93. The 20 was his one season in the AL.

So, twice, his speed rating was 98. There are only six hitter seasons in the entire sim with speed ratings of 99.

Rickey Henderson's career high speed rating is 95.
I’m assuming people filed tickets at some point to fix things like this, no?

I have a few questions about catcher speed too. It seems a modern catcher automatically gets an intentionally deflated rating. For instance 2007 Russell Martin, who stole 21 bases, is a 68. Do any modern catchers ever top 70?

can I have a re-do... all my teams suck.

I would assume that at some point people did, but we're probably approaching something like the 10-year mark since any ticket to fix anything SimLeague Baseball related would've been acted upon.

I’ve put in a few tickets over the last few years on little bugs (including a recent one around how tandem pitchers work in relief with the “use in relief” box checked and how it will skip a tandem B starter if you set their inning availability to later than when the tandem A gets removed), and the answer is usually something along the lines of “we’ll add it to our list of things to address, but it’s low on the priority list.”
6/30/2025 2:03 PM
Exactly, but the problem is that EVERYTHING SimLeague Baseball is low on the priority list. Similarly, I've pointed out multiple times that if you have a tandem starter set to fewer than 40 pitches, and you change his role (move him from Tandem 2A to Tandem 3A, for example) his pitch counts automatically get reset to 40 TPC / 45 MPC. These issues should take very little time to fix, but they refuse to even look at them.

Six sessions, zero over-500 sessions. 14-22 overall, 2-5 in 1-run games. '27 Ruth hitting .179/.233/.357 (2nd worst Ruth out of 40 in league)... My two great hitting pitchers (Stratton & Caruthers) a combined 1-for-13 batting... my best (and most expensive) hitter on '68-70 Orioles (F.Robinson) hitting .190 with .190 slugging%... My two best (and most expensive) hitters on my $80M 1901 Pirates, '10 Honus Wagner and '02 Fred Clarke hitting .167 and .160, respectively.

Things are going exactly as planned...

You're in extremely weak company. I am also 14-22.

I have failed to reset those PC so many times, I could cry.

How are you feeling about your teams, compared to when you built them?

I'm sure this is being worked on behind the scenes and thanks again to everyone who helps put this tourney on, but was wondering if there will be a standings sheet like the last couple years to keep track of progress compared to other teams?
7/1/2025 3:13 AM
Yes. I will put something together soon.
7/1/2025 6:56 AM
Great - I really enjoy scouring those spreadsheets to try and figure out what new and unique roster-building mistakes I made each year!
7/1/2025 10:32 AM
Would love to see overall run differential per owner as part of that. So basically we could evaluate expected win% per owner vs actual
7/1/2025 1:02 PM
I can't update the run differential and expected winning% regularly. The standings link only shows the Basic Standings, not the Advanced Standings. (I can only see the advanced standings for my leagues).

I will occasionally do an update on run Differential and Exp W%, but that requires getting each commissioner to paste a copy of the advanced standings for each of their leagues. I'm not going to ask them to do that regularly.
7/1/2025 1:08 PM
Oh right, that’s fair. Forgot that wasn’t easily accessible unless it was your league
