Six in! Who's next?
11/1/2025 7:49 PM
The chance to draft Shooty Babbitt alone should be reason enough to join.

Is this going to be a one-season league or a progressive? If the latter, what is the plan going forward?
11/3/2025 10:38 AM
A progressive.

Future drafts are based on W-L record with some kind of anti-tsnking rule in place, determined beforewe start. Probably a wins floor.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I got a sitemail from MVW. He is in. That puts us at 7. If redcped is in, that'll be 8.

Yeah, I’m wondering then if you’ll have any keepers or just draft each season separately.
11/3/2025 1:13 PM
Oh Keepers, of course. No limit.

Ok, so this is a totally different league than you’ve described. 1981 is the initial draft, but then we will be progressing each season and drafting from all the new players and unretained players in 1982?

Is there anything unique to this structure? Is it just a straight progressive with no other rules on keepers? How will future draft order be determined? Are there win floors?
11/3/2025 2:03 PM
A progressive, yes, That is why I posted it in the progressive theme league classifieds.

No limits on keepers. Draft order is based on W-L record with an anti-tanking rule TBD. Most likely a wins floor.

I've added some details to the rules on page 1. If you think there is anything missing or have additional questions, please post here or sitemail me.

I like drafting four more players at the end of the draft for AAA. With single season progressives I am always short at bats or innings (or both) because I use my first couple of picks for rookies who were just called up at the end of their first year. I end up using AAA players to cover that and I prefer having really players rather than the computer-generated average ones. Since we have less owners than the number of teams that year, four should be enough.

It also lets you be more flexible in trades.
