I think the Phils should just get the Mariners to do the Lee deal in reverse, and just consider it a loan while they were seeing if they could contend.  No harm no foul.

Got into a nice argument about whether or not it's better to have Donald/Marson/Carrasco/Knapp than Aumont/Gillies/Ramirez + Francisco... and a pennant.

I read some article the other day that said the Phillies don't have the minor league talent to get Lee (for 2-3 months), and wondered how that was possible given that they just acquired talent for a full season of him. Maybe they aren't willing to part with enough of it, but that's not what the article said.
