So...  if the Knicks end up with two out of the Pierce/Gay/Jefferson trio, is that the worst for the franchise/best from a comedy standpoint scenario?
Pierce isn't coming, Gay would be a good fit, and I doubt Jefferson would come without another one of Minnesotas players, so probably not.
Oh.  I meant Richard, not Al

worst thing the Knicks could do, would be give J Johnson a max deal, and then have Lebron not come.
Not even sure they can get Johnson at this point.

see above, but I also dont see why they would target him

Because they are the Knicks, they are likely getting shutout, and they will want the headlines.

Allegedly, he got a max contract from both the Hawks and the Knicks, since the Hawks can go 6 years, I think you're right.  He's a good offensive option, but his value is mostly as a second fiddle to Lebron.  Doing it by himself, and to get that paycheck, for 5 years would not be good

That's racist.

I just see the FA period being pretty dull.

I think LBJ goes to the Nets
Wade resigns
Bosh goes to a crappy team with no other stars
JJ resigns
No clue on Stoudemire but he is not worth the max except in this market
Boozer goes to Miami
Dirk resigns
Not a lot of team changing players after that

Seems like he could be a lot better on a team that pick and rolled you to death with him...  but not that many teams with cap space that have coaches who know WTF they are doing.

Do the Nets have enough cap for 2 max players?

We will see.  On one hand, It would be shocking to have a new York based team, with lots of money to spend, and a history of being willing to pay for players, get "shutout" of key talent in any sport.  Also, the Knicks have Donnie Walsh running the team, not Isaiah the incompetent.

On the other, they havnt done much of anything right in the last decade, so theres that.

Yes, there may have to be some other deal, but they can do it.

If Lebron were to go to the Knicks, it would be equal to a groinkick to Cleveland
