although jimmie orie is a FA... might take a stab.
Yeah, it's why I moved him last year. I knew I couldn't resign him.
You can resign Paulie.  I am going to eat the 3 mil and use the option.

I am 1/4 pirate, so whatever.

Also, the roflbrothel is like my favorite thing in fourteen forevers.
just becuase you have a parrot on your shoulder doesn't make you a pirate
Man, I was being all piratey way back before your first baby mama ran off with that Taco Bell manager.
showing people your peg leg whilst doing the cap'n morgan stance doesnt' count either.
Why the hell not?  You're not making sense.
It's like no one remembers who bret is anymore...

I might be up for wheeling and dealing in HR, too.  I'm gonna try to get younger.

In a surprise move I will be moving my training budget up to 14.

I'm considering just seeing what I can get for anyone on my roster. I'm not necessarily just looking to rebuild, but I just wonder what I can get in return for some of these guys.
I've got 3 players in arb demanding a ton of money. Mcguire wants 4 years at 10.1 each. Orber Flynn and Kobayashi, both RPs, want about $7-8mil per season. I can afford them, but worry about 2 seasons from now when the next wave of moneygrubbing arb guys have their hands out.
I might actually have some cash to spend. I guess we can see if there's something we can work out, though.

Enough to afford the fleet of roflcopters and the elegant elevators for two floors?
Sure. Other than the door man their labor costs are nil -- teenage ROFLs aren't about to unionize. And look at the lineup out the door. They're making their money on volume.

I bet they clear a few thousand a day, easy.
Labor costs are nil? Who is cleaning up afterwards? I think you need a custodian of some sort.
I'm not sure what sort of Third World brothels you're used to, but I think your standards are a little high in the cleanliness department. Clean-up probably involves opening up the windows during monsoon season.

We could potentially talk, but I doubt you need 1B/COF types...  although I have some young ones that would crush the ball in Durham.

I think I would have expressed some mock outrage at the idea I would be doing a Cap'n Morgan stance at all.

I honestly haven't been to a remote island brothel, so I'm unsure of their business practices. But I guess being on a remote island, they don't have to follow any sort of hygeinic code.

You forget how much TM likes lifting legs.

Glen Clayton may be available in HR, if anyone is looking for a 30/30 first baseman who's a perennial Gold Glove candidate.

Keep me in mind, as well, robusk. Looking over my organization as is, I see some needs at a COF spot and potentially third base. Though depending on who I trade, this might not necessarily be the case.

Cool.

I will need to move probably two from the Pall/Caruso/Kirby/Ordonez/Patel group.

Seriously though, how the hell did Davies not opt out.  He was looking at an 80 million dollar deal easy.

He likes winners. Probably likes my management style as well.

I'm assuming Davies is opting to stay. His option status is pending and his salary is still showing up on my team finances page. I've never offered players options, only team options.
