I think you would be better off adding cheap and ignored but effective pitching pieces and focusing on adding 2-3 bats actually.

I'm kind of caught in no-man's land in HR.  Should have been so much better last season, or so I thought.  I think I stay the course for at least one more season, maybe add a big bat and a mid-rotation arm, and try to make a run.
You could kill off Brad Broome if you want to.

From what I can tell TM, you only have 3.5 quality ML bats on your team and 4 quality ML pitchers.  However, three of those pitchers are starters...  so get a can fill out the rest of the staff rather cheaply.  If you can get a position to dump about 40 million in free agency (with about 30 of it going to three position players), I think you can contend next year.

Busker, what would you do with my HR team this offseason?

Yeah, you may be right.  I'm actually pretty happy with my 1-4 starters.  I may just go for an inexpensive LR/spot starter better than what I've got, upgrade the back end of my bullpen, and try to find two good offensive improvements (I think 3 would be a stretch).

Move Chen to LF, Johnson to RF, figure out which two of the remaining guys you like the best to fill out 2B/3B/SS and CF (obviously 1B is settled),then  get two other guys who can defend and hit for the other two spots, Your pitching staff is in great shape for the time being and I think you can still contend for a couple of seasons.  I am really curious as to why you have relatively ignored contact rating given your park, but I respect you enough to give you the benefit of the doubt.

I honestly think, when figuring out who is going to go where, you need to look into some super range for at least to more positions (combined with Chen moving to left).  With your staff and having seen what Chuck does in hitter's parks, I think you could really cut a lot of runs down on D.

If you could also find some ones with a high contact/power combo, you would seriously be a threat for the WS.

No need to have may in that sentence.

I am right.

I'd say more like 4.5 quality ML bats (3 wholes, 3 halves), and again, I think I'm ok 1-4 in the rotation.  But yeah, generally, I agree with your assessment.  FA ends up ******* me off, though, as I talk myself into thinking the affordable options aren't enough of an upgrade over what I've got.  We'll see how it plays out, but I definitely plan to try and be more of a presence in FA than usual.  Of course that won't take much.

Weeks ago the Philadelphia Parking Authority mailed a letter to immigrant cabdrivers telling them that credit-card payments were owed to them and to come to the PPA to get paid, drivers said.
When 26 drivers showed up at the PPA garage and impoundment offices in South Philadelphia Wednesday, 23 wound up handcuffed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who determined the cabbies were in the United States illegally, according to ICE spokesman Mark Medvesky.
All but four were released but their names were placed on a deportation list. Medvesky didn't detail why the four others were held.

What ended up being the consensus on that trade in DM by the way?
Which one?

Yeah...  you can't really go into it half.  The affordable stop gaps will take care of themselves and always be available.  If you truly want to win, you need to be prepared to be a REAL player in the market.  It is time to quit being okay with mediocrity man.

Well, it's at least somewhat market-dependent.

Also, stop trying to make me type in ebonics.
