From what I can tell TM, you only have 3.5 quality ML bats on your team and 4 quality ML pitchers.  However, three of those pitchers are starters...  so get a can fill out the rest of the staff rather cheaply.  If you can get a position to dump about 40 million in free agency (with about 30 of it going to three position players), I think you can contend next year.

I'd say more like 4.5 quality ML bats (3 wholes, 3 halves), and again, I think I'm ok 1-4 in the rotation.  But yeah, generally, I agree with your assessment.  FA ends up ******* me off, though, as I talk myself into thinking the affordable options aren't enough of an upgrade over what I've got.  We'll see how it plays out, but I definitely plan to try and be more of a presence in FA than usual.  Of course that won't take much.

SIriusly, though, our opinions don't seem to be divergent enough to merit your usual shtick here.  Basically, I think I'm just saying that I think one of my SP's is a little better than you think, and that if one of my non-good hitters merits "half-good" status, than another couple do as well.

Nah.  The fact that I win all the time is all the showing off I need.  I honestly don't need to sit here andtell you how to win games to do that.

It is a sincere interest in seeing if you could actually win games if you had a team built to win them vs. if you are just mush.

It was three guys and then one guy I could be convinced was decent enough.

Except with 20 health I am not sure I would expect him to be more than a bench player.
