moy, I'd be interested in doing a duplicitous collusion with you. If we were making a possible Yorvit trade, I'd be more inclined if I had an assurance that you'd also sign one of my Type A players, as well.
Maybe but that catcher is pretty good and I haven't fucked him up yet. I was planning on using him in the future, the next woody jacobs. Duplicious does make it sound exciting though.
Whether you are talking about Lopez or Olmeda, neither could sniff a Jacobs jockstrap.

DUPLICITOUS COLLUSION!!!

I want him because you haven't fucked him up. And if there was an assurance of a signed Type A along with it, I'd be really getting some draft picks out of it too. It's something to consider.

I think it depends on the world. BP gets some steals every year in $ through it. Like this dude for just $10m, despite only allocating $10m to his prospect budget as well:

I would think $ would be a pretty good world for those who are in the international market - 1/3 of the owners (myself included) are ignoring it completely.

I guess I supported dherz's point....

But like I said, there seems to be frequent pendulum swings. People tend to go from one extreme to the other en masse. I might start slowly allocating more money for those fields, but we'll see.

I think it really depends on the world with internationals.

Like I am definitely out in KP for now.  I think that I don't want to be anywhere near internationals until a world is like five seasons old and people start to like their teams and there is talent in free agency.

I am too much in contention in HR to **** with it right now.

I will probably stick with it in DM because I can maintain my team relatively cheaply right now.

My team will struggle to win 70 games in $ next year and it is a good market, so I am probably in.

Olmeda.and I disagree. He also has a 70 some pitch call.
7/2/2010 12:42 PM
Actually, Olmeda only has half a season under his belt.  He could be pretty sick.
7/2/2010 12:42 PM

Not to mention only five franchises allocated more than the $20m to their prospect budget. That's low.

Double Mendoza passed that even before the amateur draft. Gleeman has five over $20m before Spring Training even ended, with 20 teams investing $20m to start with...

It was posted to mostly support your point, so Im glad theres counter support.  It will be interested to see how long I can really commit to an almost exclusively internal development model, after being so trade heavy the first 16 seasons

I like how you think you won't win 70 games, when just the sheer effort you put into the sim will probably have you near the top of your division.

My model was always to accrue numbers through the draft, and hope elite talent drops to me. If not, try to leverage multiple good prospects for a great prospect. Or vice versa. I tend to not trade for as many ML-ready guys, which I'm hoping to change with the next season in Shtickless.

Sounds like some thrilling conversation here today...
