We have criminal histories of people looking to legally move to America from Mexico, Canada, France, England, Japan, China, Switzerland and the list goes on and on. We don't have that with people from that region of the world. This is a huge difference. Once again, it's not an exact science with most countries, but it is not a crap shoot either.

Except in one case those people are already American citizens who have the right to live here as long as they want, and in the other they are NOT American citizens and are trying to (sometimes) illegally come and enjoy the privilege of living here.
Is it their fault they weren't born here? Of course not, but the entire planet can't live in America, if they want to.

It was not one incident. Google it some more on your own. Sweden is in serious trouble.

If that turns out to be so, that would be very unfortunate for the Swedes. It would also serve as a very visible demonstration that Muslims are unable to adopt to life in the civilized world-----because a PORTION of them insist on violating current globally held principles. All non-muslim countries would then react accordingly, which would put the impetus on the decent Islamic community to (Finally!) call out and exterminate those brethren amongst them who practice violence as a means of religious proselytizing or political advancement.

We MUST avoid a global all-out religious war. We should already KNOW the outcome of such an event. All the participants of such an event have such prophesies in their dogmatic framework. (Such as the Bible)
There are some who seem to welcome a rush to Armageddon. I'm not one of them.

Eh? To me its simple if you want to live in Westernized countries then adapt to our views and our line of thinking. If not then stay where you are. I am not one to tell people how to live but I don't want them imposing their beliefs on me either. As I said, I am a son of immigrants. When my parents came here, they learned the language, customs, etc.

Why shouldn't immigrants be expected to learn English? I know it's not the "official" Language of the US, but for about 200 years or so, every immigrant from every Country came here accepting the fact they were going to need to learn English to productively live in the USA. How and why did that change over the last 40-50 years? People can actually take their Citizenship Test in their native language. Sorry, but IMO that's freakin' nuts. Do Americans go anywhere on this Earth expecting other Countries to cater to English-only speaking ways?

My sister-in-law has lived in China for the past 3 years. She learned Mandarin before she went. It's kind of cool. My 2-year old now speaks some mandarin because they Skype daily.

Let me rephrase. Follow our constitution. Learn our language. Treat women as equals. Native Americans were conquered, the settlers did not ask their permission for anything. No sarcasm, you are just plain wrong.

So when the white immigrants arrived in Tucson everybody should have had to learn English because that was the dominant language of the white immigrants?? Arrogant, don't you think?
We continue to wallow in our own stupidity rather than learn about the planet's offerings from those we deem inferior savages. Again, such ignorant chutzpah we display over and over and over. Clearly, OUR culture (Anglo-Saxon wandering invaders) is so incredibly self-absorbed (egotistical!) that we will NEVER learn how to peacefully exist on this planet. Just like our newly elected (so-called) leader. The self-described advanced "modern" world will just continue to devolve into irrelevance and death.

I just hope we don't take the rest of the species with us!

It's far past TIME we "cut the tent" on our OWN stupidity and started behaving responsibly on this planet!
