1981 Reset League Draft Topic

Because our off the clock period is extended due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I am going to impose a 24 hour rule on picks:

If we reach 24 hours since the last posted pick, the commissioner shall pick for the next team to keep the draft moving along. If that owner reaches out to the commish and/or the league with an ETA before that point, the commissioner may pause the rule to allow the owner to make their own pick.

This may be necessary to ensure that we don't have an extended pause in the draft over the course of the next week.

Can I just say that I'm not a fan of this? This is "off the clock" for a reason and that's essentially putting us on the clock even though it's 24 hours. The whole point of not being on the clock to begin with is because of the possibility of full schedules for the holiday. I understand it's going to move slowly but when you're drafting an entire team like this it's going to take a full month to draft anyway, may as well not rush it or have any ill feelings right from the jump because an owner or owners didn't get who they were targeting. Just my two cents here.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to strike a balance here. I want to give everyone plenty of time in consideration of holiday obligations and schedules but I also don't want us stalled for days on end. I welcome opinions and am flexible.
