I know you are based on the players you've coveted in trade chats and the like. I know BP does, because he always has a few in his organization. In fact, the last two good ones I got were poached from him.

I just don't know how to quantify the difference as far as wins above replacement. I suspect going to the lineup I'm considering will be of help, especially with the bullpen I've developed, but it hasn't worked for the Red Sox in real life.
I'm no expert like robusk or rlahann but strong Def in the Infield totally helps out the pitching staff. My pitchers have all been better since focusing there. Helps them get out of jams and keeps the pitch count down imo.
Heh.

Everything I know about defense I learned from Chuck.

If you had to sacrifice on one area defensively, would you sacrifice glove or range?
Depends.  In the outfield, sacrifice glove.  In the infield, sacrifice range.

I am not a subject matter expert on this topic though.

Someone worthwhile acquire Joe Hartman in HR. I drafted him, and miss him, but have no space for a DH.
I tried getting him last year.  Going more defensive this season and can't use him.  He would have been ridiculous on last season's team.

That's pretty much how I look at it, so you may want to reconsider.

What's the difference in salary from staying in Cleveland to going to Miami, compared to what he'd save for lack of taxation in Florida?

i just saw a link to that information on Drudge. He'd still end up making more in Cleveland. The article focussed on the nation's highest state tax--New York vs Florida. WIth that and cost of living, 'Bron would be leaving a lot on the table if he went to NY from a salary perspective.
are they taxed on where they play each game?   I thought I heard that.

Same here. 2 out of my 4/5(?) GGs from last season I traded him for.

Do I qualify as worthwhile? Finally pulled off a trade.

Now I have do something with 1 of my 3 dh/backup catcher types. These guys have no value on the trade market.

Unless they are traded to you.  Then you give up an electric potential multiple all star outfielder, and a back of the rotation starting pitcher for them.
