All of the Dem supporting pundits and talking heads say it is a 50/50 country. And it was a close election which it was. I used to believe in the 50/50 estimate but not now.
I think that if abortion was not an issue and Roe v Wade had not been murdered the election would have been one sided.

I think that fewer women would have voted - less votes for Harris and Dems. And some Republican women who crossed over would not have.
I think it is more like a 55-45 country or 54- 46.

I think that the political ethnicity has changed. It is right now a right wing country. There is a new normal.

They need to do this before they can become the dominant party again because they are definitely not.

The day after Trump won the Russian State News TV which is controlled by the Kremlin and Putin had a rather noteworthy segment.
Full Freedom of the media does not exist there. Commentary on the war on TV news brought that home a few times. People were fired and were lucky they were not jailed.

Preamble finished this is fascinating. The News show had a segment which discussed and showed Melania nude modeling photos. There was much merriment and laughter.

No way they could have done that without a blessing and permission. Maybe the story was given to them.

Back in the good old days when republicans, other then people like Gingrich and the rest of his precursor of MAGA associates, were thoughtful, intelligent NORMAL PEOPLE and dedicated to the rule of law the same as democrats. Some of us will never live to see a return to having a country that half of the world population does not think of as let’s say substandard to be very kind and gentle.

To make a long story short, Bush #1 was in the cross hairs of Saadam who tried to assassinate him. It was not classified it was made public but big explosive headlines THERE WERE NOT. I could never understand why it was a small one off story.

I wondered why wasn’t there a very significant reaction like bombs away.

Now, there has been an attempt to kill Trump by Iran ( BTW there has been 3 major attempts by 3 separate parties over 60 days ) and it did get press but again it was a one off story with no big explosive headlines.

Biden did not retaliate in mass but he did issues a forceful statement that if Trump was killed it would be taken as declaration of war. And war is what happened to Iraq.

So 2 questions. Why would 2 countries try to kill a president knowing that if they succeeded their country would get destroyed especially since they did not have nukes? You can say what you want untrue as it would be about Biden but there has been retaliation against the hooties and major military assistance to Israel including placing destroyers near Israel to thwart Iran and others and use of the defensive and offensive weapons. There was no hesitation to send our destroyers into the region immediately after war was threatened more then once.

Many people said that when Bush #2 went to war with Iraq that the attempt on his father was part of his motivation. That was never acknowledged
BUT if it was I always thought that it was a very legitimate reason.

If we were not in an election cycle I would have supported a massive response to the attempt and I am certain that Biden would have done it because he is an institutionalist loyal to our values and obligations.
It would have been seen an invitation to massive war with a ferocity not seen since WW2.

Believe it or not if Trump decides to level a massive crippling decapitating response to the attempt I would fully support it.

Both attempts were not from Lee Harvey Oswald types. They were attempts by government assigned killers.

If they do not rip apart our system through dismantling they will severely defund. Department of Education will be battle axed.
. In the interest of mercy I won’t even talk about what some of truly lunatic states will do with their right to be right. The anti what really matters people will win.

That which Matters vs Anti matter comes in pairs in this country and when they do meet which is now happening on a large scale they annihilate each other.

I hope that NASA is not defunded because it really does enlighten and educate and answers questions that are important for the people that live on land and not the creatures that just left the swamps to begin to walk on land and have not yet evolved or those who instead are de - evolving.

Maybe some agencies like the FDA and Department of Education will get new leaders only to bring about dismantling and transition to the states.

Marco Rubio is a great pick for any Republican administration. He will do a great job until he gets nauseous from the bizarre rantings and decisions and anti democracy and anti allies and pro Russia and weak North Korea and provocations toward China and etc. As long as he can prioritize.

We all know it will happen. Rubio puts party first but maybe he won’t stand idly by as Trump nukes vital American policy and assists Russia in its predatory aims in Europe.

And I do think that the animosity shown toward Ukraine as Trump tries to force them to surrender and give part of their own country to Russia will leave him quite queasy.

So I think he is in a temp job. But him being there will make the country much much safer. Again as long as he knows the priorities.

But his possible crossing the rubicon would come from his ambitions. Secretary of State could set him up to run for President. He will have to decide about country before party and world before Trump.

I have hope.

It's not at all hard to imagine that Trump 2.0 will be an even greater disaster for the country than 1.0, and these early picks for cabinet positions and agency leadership already show it. Virtually every named individual so far is going to be an unmitigated disgrace, combining the worst aspects of incompetence and sycophancy. Buckle up folks...it's gonna get real ugly.

I am most concerned with foreign policy ( which tariffs effect ) and climate. Domestic damage is easier to fix.

It looks like the filibuster will end and there could be a back and forth on certain laws. MAGA legislates national abortion ban and Dems reverse it and reinstates Roe V Wade - let the Supreme Court be banned until MAGA puts abortion ban bill in front of a MAGA president again during a trifecta.

I absolutely also think that Trump 2.0 will be worse and fraught with danger.
I have grave concern for the DOJ and at some point there will massive resignations which will create dangerous chaos and could damage the quality of the DOJ for several years.

There are so many areas of danger 24/7 and it is going to be an It the clown show.

And nobody knows if Trump will commit espionage crimes by helping Russia. He could also put CIA and FBI agents in danger.
It is scary to think of what he could do.

One of these days I will give my view on the Immigration issue. It have a lot of opinions concerning immigration.

The designated border czar ( the Harris campaign was a horses aass for letting Trump viciously LIE about her being the border czar - she was not even for one day the border czar. ) is going to do what he was picked for with an iron fist no velvet glove over that fist.
