TRUMP: Best President ever Topic

I think we are all born sinners with the capacity to sin. We will fail, but we should all strive to not sin. Thus, I believe in pacifism and peace, however unrealistic it may be.

That's admirable, but it's dangerous for world leaders to think that way because it leaves nations way too vulnerable. I don't think we should be aggressors, but we should be capable and ready to defend ourselves against those who don't want world peace.

What is the line between defending ourselves and turning the other cheek? When do the defenders become the attackers?

Turning the other cheek is a personal decision probably involving yourself and an antagonist.

Defending "ourselves" involves family or community or country. You still have the right to be a pacifist and determine your own course but you have no right in determining how the others respond or act.

Turning the other cheek relates to individuals, not to the whole country. We could very easily have a large portion of our country newked if we aren't prepared. While I am a hypocrite, as I am as quick as anyone to knuckle up, I do agree that the Bible as individuals calls us to love our enemy, but I can show you numerous examples from the Bible where God gave his people the strength to win battles and wars.

I know I have approached this strictly from a christian worldview, but that's where my values come from. From a secular worldview, my job takes me into some high crime areas at times and I am going to get home and see my son each evening. I am going to protect myself because I understand that evil people exist and will always exist. It works the same way with our leaders protecting the country.

This.

I disagree. I don't see the difference between protecting ourselves and protecting the country.

Your personal choice leads to the potential of you being dead, being unprepared for an attack leads to thousands being dead. Big difference.

Good point. So people in government power must sacrifice their personal religous beliefs for the good of others?

Here is why I did not vote for her:
  • She left the WH nearly broke or barely well off and now is worth over $100MM. Clinton foundation is dirty.
  • She claims to be for women's rights but she took a lot of $$ (pay for play) from Saudi and other countries as such who treat women worse than dogs.
  • Benghazi happened on her watch as she was sleeping
  • She is a terrible role model for my daughters, staying married to a cretin like Bill after he multiple times cheated on her and humiliated her.
  • My friend in Secret Service told me she is one of the worst human beings he ever met and she treated them as her servants. He said Bill could not stand her.
  • She and her cronies sabotaged Bernie Sanders. I am far from a Bernie fan but he deserved a fair shot.
  • She is a liar and thinks I am stupid enough to believe her lies.
Boris. I'm unable to disagree with any of your bulletpoints. All true IMO!

I'm quite glad she is finished and out of govmint! She is clearly yesterday's news. An old beaten has been. GOOD!
Why do you right-wingers keep bringing her up!!! I'm sick of hearing her name and the ONLY people still talking about HRC is guys like you, ALT3, Moy, etc....... Get over her! I think you guys have so little to find to support about "your"so-called winner (whiner?) that you have to keep talking about HER! She was so bad that............ No one is saying different. Let her go away. please!

As to your final bullet point. I've ONLY done one thing to it and have re-posted it (below) Can you NOT agree that it applies just as equally to Trump!??

"He is a liar and thinks I am stupid enough to believe his lies.. "
I am far from a right winger. Trump is a businessman and knows what EBITDA is. I relate to him. I can see where he is coming from. I wanted to give him a shot. My vote was meaningless anyway.
I don't think I've seen any posts from you that did not indicate that you are a right winger. Not that it means much. Also, you relate to Donald Trump? That scares me more than anything you've ever said. He is a horrible human being.
You're a horrible human being.

I am pro choice, I don't care who marries whom, I am for capping CEO salaries, I would be OK with nationalized healthcare and I think college tuition is too expensive.

I am anti over regulation, I am pro first and second amendment, I am pro strong military, I am pro USA first, I am pro Israel.

wylie, honestly and I mean this sincerely. Go F yourself.
after you, dude

Go F myself because I said it scares me that you can relate to Trump? Maybe I can see how you can relate to him.
You are saying I am a horrible human being because I relate to Trump. That is an ignorant statement. Not a surprise coming from you.
Nowhere did I say YOU were a horrible human being. I said it scared me that you felt you could relate to trump because he is a horrible human being. Maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension.
Also, you relate to Donald Trump? That scares me more than anything you've ever said. He is a horrible human being.
so, where exactly am I calling you a horrible human being?
