I don’t know if it is better to shut down the government or to do the CR. Both arguments have merits but what I do know is that Chuck Shumer is a very smart man.
He got a 1600 perfect score in his SATs and is a big picture guy. Also he probably knows all of the loop holes and mechanisms and possible machinations of what could be done by the Trump regime during a shutdown.

I haven’t seen anything about this in news but how many hundreds of billions could be lost each years in the Trump era from Tourism revenue. A lot and it could really harm businesses and jobs including Florida and Texas. Wait for the summer. Tourism revenue is a gigantic revenue driver and a big chunk of GDC. Not a big story yet. So do not get fooled by any attempt to kill history and the intention to study and retain remembrance. Killing DEI IS is such an attempt to dumb people down so that the worst among us can benefit while the majority suffer and die in furtherance of their schemes of power. MAGA is a movement for the easily manipulated and easy warriors of anger and hostility and insecurity who will work as pawns of the power seeking group and willing executioners of democracy.
Most of them have no idea about who they are and what they are doing. They do not care.

Smart and intellectually honest people know the score and goals of MAGA such as No DEI ISNT for some establishment of equality of opportunity and meritorious achievement . Those who believe that are D- students of history and human nature. And it is so upsetting.

It is a blessing to understand the big picture and to see it happening factually. But can we convince the senseless people to try to learn and understand and comprehend and CHANGE.

The fact is that when you break it down we have 2/3 deplorable and 1/3 good.
Approximately 1/3 is MAGA.

And approximately 1/3 are apathetic. And they are by default MAGA.

That is quite an uphill battle.

NOW explain this - The big tax cut that they are tearing the fabric of the once Proud country asunder over is going to become the great revenue shrinking monster. You might say it is both waste of revenue and fraudulent because the cuts are not good for the country and are born of the most pernicious greed and callousness the country has ever seen.
