petroff hasn't opened any sitemails since Thursday, 6/19 when I sent the following message:

"As we are waiting for the last 2 owners to submit their draft picks, please send in your (tentative) round 2 keeper.

I am hoping to get all keepers by tomorrow with round 2 of draft to be timed on saturday."



If he doesn't submit his keeper by tomorrow, Sunday 5pm EST, I will have long-time owner Schwarze select his keeper for him. That will be 78 hours of waiting, which is long enough.

At that point, we will go off the clock for round 2 draft until Monday morning, when the timer begins.

schwarze is taking over Seattle. The keepers have been posted. Round 2 draft can begin anytime, with the clock starting on Monday.

It does suck unfortunately. Could you have reached out and gave a heads up if you were going to be incognito for a few days or maybe send a couple of proxies?

Thursday to Sunday is more than 24 hours. Apparently you hadn’t opened site mail sent on Thursday. Anyway enough of that. Carry on.

we generally let the commish know if we are going away and unable to draft, that way there are no screwups and people are not kept waiting in the dark.

From the Commish:

Nobody likes to run a league and have to replace an owner. Unfortunately in an active draft league, being MIA for over 78 hours does create problems. Especially this type of draft where every keeper affects every other owners pick. I totally understand vacations and bad internet (as I was in the middle of nowhere Michigan last week).

My sitemail on Thursday was opened by petroff. That sitemail specifically asked for keepers to be sent. Unfortunately we didn't hear anything. I thought waiting until this afternoon was fairly generous. I had to make a decision based on no responses. No one knew how long we would have to wait. (I was actually worried that something may have happened to petroff. As a long time owner on this site (25 years), I have seen so many owners disappear forever.) I made an audible, and Schwarze was nice enough to step up.

There are no hard feelings from my end and I understand these things happen, but I will ask schwarze to stay. I will put petroff on the waitlist #1 for next season.
