About a week ago he said he might impose big sanctions on Russia. People knew it was a choreographed stunt to throw people off the trail.
Not another word. If he does anything it will be a Russia approved token.

The war goes on because Ukraine refuses to allow Trump to bully them into surrender. Zelensky had grandparents in concentration camps. He will not surrender to the Russian Nazis or our Nazis.

If Trump gives them any weapons it will also be token.

If Trump really did arm Ukraine or sanction Russia the response would really be something to observe.

I am always interested in studying how horrible things in present time could have been averted by understanding the precedents that should be learned from history.

And it is fascinating to me to see how it only takes one person or a small group to influence the birth of gigantic ( tens of millions or hundreds of millions or more ) cults.

Regarding MAGA what is evident is that they know about Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini and Putin and Kim etc.
They do not ignore them. The sad truth is that they approve of a dictatorship government. MAGA is made up of highly antisocial people. Violent and racist and ignorant and antisemitic etc - not all but most- the rest flat out ignorant and selfish.

All dumb because only monumentally dumb morons would endorse dictatorship for their government.

Bottom line - do not not not not expect MAGA people to suddenly embrace democracy. We are talking about an inferior brand of persons. Some of which ( not all - some are just dumb and or selfish ) might turn on Trump strictly because of how his policies are affecting their own households. Democracy will still not be a concern.

No matter what they are still happiest with a dictatorship. Some people sad to acknowledge desire and need a dictatorship.

And all of this moves us forward in understanding how Hitler gained and kept power and all of the others in various countries then and now.

Sometimes reality and truth sucks. Actually sometimes the human nature of the lowest strata of people really sucks.

What happens to a democracy when the DOJ is not even a little bit independent and not only does whatever the president tells it to do, legal or not legal, but will not enforce the law if the president tells it not to. That is a major part of a totalitarian autocratic government.

The thing about immigration and a whole lot of other issues that the heartless pucks don’t get is that there are always 2 ways to do the same thing - with human decency and respect for the laws and rule of law or the trump way which is like a POS horrible person who is basically evil.

For example - Trump prevented a bipartisan immigration bill to BE BROUGHT UP FOR A VOTE in June 2024 because and I quote - it will help the democrats.
Just like Trump it would have given more funding and a lot more agents for interdiction. A lot.
And a system for weeding out invalid asylum claims so that they would get disposed of within 6 months. Well over 80% would get disposed of immediately without hatred and rancor gestapo tactics. Would not that be a really good thing.

And a lot more immigration judges.

That would have been much better then the hate motivated system we have now.

Trump lied about the mass deportations.
The bipartisan bill would get all of the goals while allowing us to be a nation of good people.
That is still worth something to some people.

99.99 % of the undocumented immigrants are good people and those who should be removed or not let in should be handled through an humane system.

People who think of them with hate or as non human dangerous criminals are themselves deplorable disgusting people.

For Trump and his supporters it is all about the hatred.
Obviously not just with immigration.
They are the hateful people in our country.
Hatred and autocracy is in their blood flowing through their veins. I guess Their Blood is poisoned.
