My world just rolled into these new rules. Why weren't franchise budgets increased since active rosters were expanded to 26? Like $190M vs $185M?
I thought about that for a bit too but it assumes there are available $5M players worth signing. IMO it's far more likely that any additional budget money someone had would go into a top end free agent or International, thus driving up the top end of the markets. I figure a 26th player is probably only going to be making in the neighborhood of $327k.
I hear ya, but there are $5M players available in my free agent signing period that I can't afford. Going from an NL team with no DH season to full-DH plus 26 man roster season left my player budget short.
