60 mil screw your neighbor 2: franchises. full Topic

Season 1 of this iteration of SYN has been really fun. In this go round, we'll try to keep the core ideas, but we'll look to diversify the player pool, and hopefully the strategies a bit.
In this Screw your neighbor league, you will try to create the worst possible team made up of players from 1925 to 2025. Once we are full, the teams will be randomly redistributed to the owners. Thus, you will not get the team you created. That one will be gifted to someone else. However, we still want to encourage some managerial skill. We want to see if you can turn your screwed team into a contender. The twist this year is that this will be an exclusive franchise SYN. Thus, please sign up for an exclusive franchise to pick your sorry losers from, to give to some poor SOB.
Rules:
You must spend at least $55, 000, 000 and your roster must:
contain 2 players whose primary position is 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, and C (so 10 total players at the Infield positions). You must have 5 primary OFs. No guys whose primary position is DH.
You must have 10 pitchers.
Minimum of 4250 Plate Appearances (PAs) for position players
Minimum of 1125 Innings Pitched
NEW FOR THIS ITERATION: All fielders must have a minimum of 150 ABs and All pitchers a minimum of 50 IPs. This keeps fatigue as an option but probably can't be relied on as the only option.
To give you a chance, we will have random below average AAA (2 Pitchers and 6 position players)
No clones
Late as possible on the transaction deadline
No trades, injuries on.
Ballparks from the franchise and era only.
No waiver wire
20 team league (changed since the original league set up)
Come and join the fun and let me know if you have questions. Oh, and this is not really enforceable but please keep the team names safe for work. A place name and a mascot always works but if you go in a different direction, please keep it clean, even if you are gifting this to another poor guy.

I'm gonna pass on this one...if you're doing exclusive franchise, the range of years really needs to match the size of the league. At least 8 teams are going to be drawing from a much smaller player pool than everyone else. Only 16 MLB teams from 1925-1960. This should either be a 16 team league, or if you want 24, the range of years should be 1969-present.

Could you define “primary position”? I would think, for example, if a guy is listed as a DH, then wouldn’t any position he is listed at by definition be his secondary position? Or, if a guy plays 2B and SS, then one is the primary position and the other is a secondary position.

yes, good question. the "primary position" is the one that shows up when a guy is drafted or that is in bold when you look at fielding ratings. A guy that is primarily a DH is out since we are not playing with a DH. I know that takes away the "DH who happened to play a game at SS" gambit which is a bit of a shame but if I didn't, we'd all have the same strategy. Thanks for asking.
