Will we get insight into 1-run record and expected win %, etc in the update at the halfway mark?

The next standiongs update will have two tabs added at the end.

The "Advanced Standings" tab is thru 81 games.

The "Luck" tab shows each owner's 1-run game record and also the difference between Expected Winning% and Actual Winning%.

Interestingly I am at the bottom of both lists; make of that what you will.

Generallym, speaking... teams that are on the lucky side of 1-run games are often also on the lucky side when comparing Exp W% to actual win%.

But not always. A couple of mop-up generated blowouts can skew the Exp Win% in either direction. That's why I show both tables. Somebody at the extreme of one table and the opposite extreme at the other probably has played in a few blowout games.

I guess I should feel good that I’m hanging in the cage despite being so unlucky. Hopefully things balance out again soon.

OK - that's odd. I've uploaded the new standings this morning and again this afternoon, but I'm no longer getting the option to replace the old file. Instead, it's adding a brand new file with a brand new link.

I'd rather not have to update the link everytime. Anbybody know how to get the google upload process to give the option to replace old file? It used to autmatically ask me. now it doesn't.

Well, it looks like I can go into File Information, Manage Settings, and update the file that way. A few more clicks... Still odd, that the previous way of uploading/replacing the file no longer works.

I was curious which division has the highest ranked owners in it? I found it...

League 3-A, NL West

Owner (overall record, overall rank)
hebdomad (350-244, 2nd)
mensu1954 (333-261, 6th)
mjkrunner (324-270, 13th)
cubbies84 (323-271, 14th)

When I was doing it I had script that would paste the data directly into the GSheet from the WIS pages after scraping them. I could try to find that again if it'd be helpful. It would handle updates automatically 5 minutes after the games sim each cycle.

I don't have a working knowledge of GSheets. I only know Excel. So, I've been running everything in Excel, then saving into GSheets shortly after each session is run (when I'm home). The @sort function doesn't convert properly, so I modify that manually after updating the file.

I'm not sure what I would do with your script.

Quite a run by ledfoot in the last 162 games.

I'm not sure who mensu and mjkrunner ticked off but they are also in the toughest division of any of my leagues. This is the 2C NL East division:

We have the top four records in the NL and I'm 61-49 and four games out of the wildcard (no complaints as I'm in another league where we are all under .500). Combined, we are 74 games over .500 and have a combined winning winning percentage of .584.

Just like this division... also 74 games above .500 in aggregate.
