Also I will just say that, irrespective of whether it's a good change or not, with a group of people so tenured to the theme I'm not a fan of "I am imposing stylistic preference on the rest of the league without input from its players." It does feel a little weird to go from a setup that was voted on by the whole, to undoing what was voted upon without a vote.

Conveniently, there was some discussion off-site recently that some kind of rotation the way that Random Captain adds a DH every 4th season might make sense for this league, like every 4th season we just open the pool back up wholly to 69-present or something. If we add a DH I wouldn't raise the cap at all. The also-ran teams already struggle to keep up with the Dodgers and Yankees of the league in actually filling out their payroll, and those good teams are just going to have even better tools to play with adding all these years back in to widen the gap. Keeping the cap at 120 means those good teams can actually deal with some payroll decisions while the Rays of the world maybe actually would get to hit a 120m payroll.

I like the DH idea. I will play this leg if there is a spot open.

Good call. Lets try using a DH in every even number season of the league. This is season 90, so we will use the DH.

Waiting to hear from 5. Tomorrow 5pm est is deadline for returning owners. I've sitemailed those but most have gone unopened. We will open the league up tomorrow evening to the public.

I'm definitely down for the changes you proposed ff - I like the fact that we are forward thinking, all MLB does a DH now, so should our league, will make for some more strategy with high salary teams
