1994 could be interesting with no postseason awards.

I’ll put my name in with 2019 if this gets off the ground

Here's the 1990 team I put together. I used 8 players from the Managers of the Year: Pirates and White Sox. Was shocked to find out Larussa wasn't the 1990 AL MOY. Was hoping to use more A's players!

Will work on some other years and see how they look.

I was equally shocked that Lou Piniella wasn't the NL manager of the year for 1990. After all the Reds went from 75-87 in 1989 to 91-71 in 1990 and they led their division from wire to wire!

Being from the Seattle area I love Sweet Lou! Thankfully he won MOY in '95 and '01.

It's a shame he's not in the HOF!!

I agree with you, GW. Increasing the number of mandatory players will increase the number of undesirable players on rosters in most cases. I'm in favor of just sticking to one player for each of the four Gold Glove and Silver Slugger categories.

Wouldn't mind the option to use a 2nd player from the GG/SS lists

I tried putting a 2001 team together and was way over the cap! Some of those expensive Bonds seasons will make the cap come into play more.

You're not the first owner to suggest that.

It makes more sense to use GG & SS, in conjunction with Managers of the Year, because it provides a larger player pool.

I thought about using Clemente, Hutch, Gehrig, Aaron, and Ruth awards but most of them are overlap with the same player and/or they don't cover the entire timeline of this theme. I was shocked to learn they stopped giving out the Fred Hutch award in 2020!

I agree with the idea of giving the option to pick one extra player from either the GG or SS list. We could also do one extra player from both the GG and SS lists.
