…and now I watch and cry as schwarze and footballmm11 add one of the available super supreme pitchers to their already dominant rosters
Now that all the round 1 drafts are over, I will admit that my strategy (in most of the round 1 drafts) was to go heavy on offense and light on starting pitching for the specific purpose of being able to get a more impactful upgrade during the mini-draft. Seems like footballmm11 had the same idea as he went big on offense in pretty much all the round 1 drafts. (You will note that I haven't taken a single hitter in any of the mini-drafts, although I did focus a bit more on pitching in the later eras).
I struggled with this pick as our minidraft had 08 Joss, 08 Walsh, 15 Alexander, 08 Mathewson, 08&09 Mordecai, and others for the taking. Literally the best starting pitchers in the sim.
But somehow I led the league in pitching (and lucked out a World Series victory) without any of them, so my brain said to go hitting.
