Will someone take 3 time ABA champion Slick Leonard?

Or 2 time ABA champion Kevin Loughery who coached a few other teams besides the Nets, including that terrible 1973 76ers team for part of that season. They actually had an all star that season, John Block.

Does not look like people want to play with the older players and coaches. So The Coaches League may just be 2 seasons and done.

Could you consider allowing other coaches who coached beyond 98-99 but just cut it off so that we can only select seasons up until 98-99?

Nah. The guys that will be taken then would be guys that were used already. I'd rather not have the league than to see those same names back again and have the league filled with 90s players. I wanna see the players I grew up with in the late 60s, 70s and 80s. There's plenty of other leagues for guys who just want a chance to win the championship with players from the 90s and up. We just had mostly that in the first 2 seasons.

Berkelon's idea above does sound good. but you need 12 owners with gray hair to make it work.

There's tons of talent on those teams. This sim just does not recognize it by normalizing percentages. Also the 3 pointers are a problem. When you start a private league there should be an option not to have 3 pointers in the league. The sim just makes up 3 point percentages for guys who played before there were 3 pointers.

Even the way it is, all of us are in the same boat in terms of players to use. If you only want to play in leagues where the best sim players are available there are plenty of them. In the 60s and 70s 45 pct from the field was like 50 pct is in later times.

The good thing about The Coaches League is that there's no need for a manual draft. I like berkelon's idea but you would need a live draft. I tried the 6 Decades League a while ago and got 11 people. Everybody needed to have 2 players each from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000-2009. I run a baseball league at Imagine Sports called the Fifteen Decade Festival and we've had like 15 seasons already. But of course the players there are all normalized so there is not much difference in talent in each decade except they low code the 19th century guys, especially the pitchers.
