Great concept, snedden. Did lil interesting research. Found that the Indians first wore numbers on sleeves in 1916. They and the Yankees adopted numbers on the backs of jerseys in 1929. Yanks were to be first with the uniform alteration but got rained out. (I would be interested in taking another team if needed).

I'm actually heading on vacation tomorrow, but I'll be monitoring the league as much as possible. If we don't get up to 16-17 teams by Monday, I'll open it up to second teams.

Creative idea, in my research I discovered that jersey numbers didn’t exist in the early days of MLB, did not know that before.

I will sign up with number 27, not sure on my ballpark yet!
