In a related note, Rod Carew was my favorite player, growing up as a kid. It was very hard to pass up '77 Carew with my first round pick. But knowing that the Joe Morgans would fly off the board early, I wanted to keep my Carew options open at 2B. I almost took 1973 last round, but gambled that both '73 and '74 woudn't get taken.
