Surprised at the number of deadball teams. I have one of them but they do have limited selection, I have ten exemptions under 300k.Homerun suppression not adequately factored into salary is the main drawing card. Used to be talk of higher error rate but I haven't seen it to a large extent.

Wow, nobody else took a Yankees team from the 1920s or 30s. Decent pitching was admittedly hard to find on those teams, but I'm rolling the dice that I make it to Round 2 and get to go to town with the $120m roster.

FYI for accuracy sake and if by miracle I make round 2 my team is the 1916 NYG.

The modern teams can get by with fewer IP due to high K rates (as a counter to deadball's HR suppression) but in this theme I think the HR suppression will win out

In hindsight, wish I had picked the 2021 Dodgers instead of 2022.

For whatever reason I really struggled to find teams that could twist to a legitimate $120M. Other than the 2021 Dodgers, the only one I considered was the 2005 Yankees. I guess I just don't know the pre-1920 teams and players well enough, or just assumed that they wouldn't have offenses that I could live with.

I did change it before the deadline Monday and sitemailed the commish to let him know. You may have already checked my first entry. All good though.
