Summer of Seaver has rolled with only 3 openings. We are a very competitive lg with very competitive owners.
The breakdown:
NL East team: Has the #2 overall pick in the Amateur draft. This team has some very decent talent at the ML level and down on the farm. Team has a very manageable payroll to boot.
A perfect team for a savvy owner that can pull off quick rebuilds.
AL West team. A very intriguing team. Has some excellent talent at the ML level. Modest payroll. The farm has some talent as well. Team also drafts 10th in the Amateur draft after winning over 90 games 2 seasons ago
AL North team. In the hunt for the division and wild card each year.
This team can either be retooled or stripped down and undergo a rebuild. It has the 16th pick in the amateur draft and the farm has a few decent pieces.
A few well designed trades to reshape the roster and this team will be right back in contention in my opinion.
