Press Conference – Head Coach Introduction
Opening Statement
“Appreciate everyone being here.
I’m grateful for the opportunity. I understand the responsibility that comes with this job, and I don’t take it lightly. This program has what it needs to win. What it hasn’t had yet is consistency at the standard level every single day.
That’s what we’re here to build.”
Q: Coach, what stood out to you about this job?
“The alignment. Expectations were clear. The support was real. That matters.”
Q: What kind of football should fans expect?
“Football that travels. Physical up front. Disciplined. A team that knows exactly what it’s doing when pressure shows up.”
Q: How do you approach rebuilding a program like this?
“You don’t rebuild programs with speeches. You rebuild them with habits. The players who buy in will play. The ones who don’t won’t.”
Q: There’s skepticism about winning big from the 901. Does that concern you?
“No. Excuses don’t change with zip codes. Winning doesn’t either.”
Q: Coach, your contract suggests commitment. Is this a long-term stop for you?
“If I wanted flexibility, I wouldn’t have signed the contract I signed. This isn’t a placeholder. This is a build. And I’m comfortable being judged on the finished product.”
Closing Statement
“They said it couldn’t be done in the 901.
That’s fine.
I didn’t come here to convince anyone. I came here to work. And when the work shows up on Saturdays, the conversation will change on its own.
That’s all I’ve got.”
