I have always said, you don't truly become a fan by your team winning; you truly become a fan by your team losing. If losing doesn't hurt you, you are not a fan. And it's totally OK to not be a fan, but you can't truly say you are one unless you feel abject pain when your team loses.

38 years later, I still get upset every time I see Kirk ******** Gibson’s name much less that Godforsaken replay. Ugh.
