You can drop as many players as you wish but the draft for new NHL rookies is only 5 rounds. After the 5 rounds there is an add/drop round where you can do what ever you need to in your time slot or after. There is also a large list of free agents to choose from. Please join us, it’s lots of fun and the closest thing to being a real NHL General Manager.

Salary Cap: $105,000,000

EACH SEASON THE PLAYERS MOVE FORWARD TO THEIR NEXT SEASON (example 1987-88 to 1988-89)

The number of draft picks slotted per team is determined by 23 minus your number of keepers + any picks acquired via trade

Playoff Intensity: No

If no season available. Simply use the next available season for each player.

Trades: Yes, they add a lot of fun to the league. 8 votes to veto a trade.

No ties, we will use shootouts

Max. Injuries: 2

Use of Sim Generated Rookies: Yes

Sim Generated Rookie Ratings: Average

Draft Length: 5 rounds + 1 round Add/Drop

(23 players are req'd for complete roster)

No Keepers limit

Draft Positioning

- 1-5 determined via lottery (30 PTS is minimum threshold to qualify for draft lottery - otherwise assigned 5th overall)

- 6-24 placed in reverse order of final standings

Trading

- Draft picks of no more than 1 draft/season in advance can be exchanged

- All trades MUST be recorded in the applicable 'TRADES' thread

- All off-season (between end of playoffs and prior to draft) trades must be 'announced' via league-wide sitemail (use provided chain)

NHL Prospects

- The following season's draft eligible NHL prospects will be released/published just prior to the Trade Deadline. Each season, a new random list of rookie NHL players will be set to draft from.

IR (Injured Reserve): Does NOT exist!! All players whom have no more available sim seasons are automatically 'retired'. That is...they will be returned to the eligibles list to eventually be drafted again into service.

Dual Team Owners (Owning/managing 1 team per conference)

- Said owners are explicitly forbidden from directly trading between teams owned/managed by the SAME individual

- Multiple accounts may NOT be used to manage multiple teams

I highly recommend the league. When I played years ago I avoided progressive leagues because they looked like way too much work, but once you get used to it the draft prep is not too bad.
