Does this do any harm to your recruiting, other than, of course, not signing the offer you withdrew

Player will immediately go undecided. Otherwise, no.

it cancels out all of your prior recruiting efforts. but it does a little more than that too. lets say you want a guy as a backup. you want a guy as a backup; you don't want to sign him over someone else but you want to have him green in case. as you are going through giving him the cvs, you accidentally offered him a schollie. no big deal right? it only cancels your prior recruiting efforts so just cancel it and you're only out $100 right? wrong. every dime you spend on him that cycle will count for absolutely nothing. he will take all your cvs still, but none of that effort will even register. he hates you now. you can probably get him back by spending money the following cycle, but i never tested that. the one time this happened to me i just decided to forget that guy and the 12k i spent on him ever existed.

You seem a touch upset about this.

It would make too much sense for any Coach that throws out schollies and then later pulls them would suffer a reputation hit (we do have a reputation rating for some reason). It would make even more sense if that reputation rating did impact future recruiting.

I did this by accident onetime and was out 18k. I'm still ******. The guy ended up signing with another human 1AA and was rated #3 OL by Guess. He was also a VH potential. They should move the rescind button away from the drop down for campus visits. That's how it got me on my phone. I hit the 1 CV and then hovered too long and hit the rescind. Clicked submit and there he went with my cash.

I enjoyed it, lol. Not that you were mad, I just find random rants like that funny.

Yes. This was my question. But agreeing with responses that it doesn’t seem to affect reputation.
