Who can build the best team from 1 decade of a specific MLB franchise? Let's find out! Anyone's invited to join, but please pay attention to your team and adjust fatigue settings, etc. accordingly throughout the season to keep the league's competitive balance as even as possible.
THEME RULES/NOTES (see post below to claim your team/decade...*please note change from prior seasons of now $75mill salary cap and that if an owner has 2 teams, only 1 of the teams can be a deadball era team from 1920 and prior years in order to be able to split the divisions and leagues by era as evenly as possible, and lastly the change that only the WIS generic ballpark can be used now to take away ballpark advantages and make it a level playing field...no pun intended):
.) Must draft players from only 1 MLB franchise (all Yankees, all Red Sox, etc.) & w/in a specific 10-yr timeframe (i.e.: only Yankees players from 96-05, only Red Sox from 04-13, only Senators/Twins from 1956-1965, etc.). Can NOT draft players outside of 10 years apart & from different franchises to your roster or that ineligible player will be removed & replaced with an eligible player or your team can be removed if unresponsive to sitemails or messages to fix your roster.
.) No clones.
.) No waiver wire.
.) No DH.
.) No trades.
.) Award winners are allowed.
.) $75 million MLB salary cap.
.) Optional AAA manually drafted "average" pitchers and "above average" hitters (between around $700k-$1.8 million for aaa pitchers salary & around $1.5-$2.6 million for hitters salary...2 pitchers, 6 position players, no AAA salary cap) from your same chosen team/decade OR can have WIS randomly assign your "average" AAA pitchers or "above average" AAA hitters (your choice). Manually drafted players not from your same chosen team/decade will be removed & replaced by WIS randomly assigned AAA players if you are not responsive to sitemails or messages to fix them.
.) Must choose WIS generic stadium with 1.0 ballpark factor so there are no ballpark advantages and everyone has the same ballpark.
.) There can be the same franchises owned by more than 1 owner (for example, there could be 3 different versions of the NY Yankees chosen).
.) An owner can own up to 2 teams in the league. Leagues & divisions will be aligned by different eras/decades as best as possible (i.e.: deadball teams will be in the same division as each other), & owners with 2 teams will have each team put into different leagues.
