Make your favorite franchise better by stealing some free agents!

1. When you sign up please select your franchise, choose two players to protect, and three players to steal from the team selected prior to yours.
2. When making your selection you cannot select the same franchise as the one prior to yours and you must declare your protected players and free agent steals immediately. In fairness to all, those 5 named players need to occur upon franchise announcement and CANNOT be changed once the next team has been announced.
3. The first team in the league will select from the last team selected. The last team selected cannot be the same as the first team.
4. Each owner will then build their team using only player seasons with their selected franchise, no twisting, and the three selected free agents from their franchise, no twisting. You must roster your 2 protected players and the 3 free agents you selected. You cannot roster the 3 free agents you lost.

• ANY stadium (does not have to be your team's home park)
• Alignment = order of sign-ups
• A "franchise" includes all iterations of a team as per Baseball Reference
• Franchises cannot be selected more than twice
• An owner can have two teams in the league but must wait until after 12 have been selected to pick another

ybj just let me know that actually this should be Season 19. Updating the thread title accordingly

One thing to note about the Giants - because I always see this get confused in franchise leagues. In 1890 there were two teams named the NYG...in the NL and in the Player's League. All the star players jumped to the Player's League it seems, including Connor, Keefe, and Buck Ewing. 1890 Connor, Keefe, and Ewing were therefore NOT part of the Giants franchise as defined by baseball-reference.com. In other seasons they were, but not 1890.
