Recruits distribution Topic

Can you please fix the recruiting distribution of prospects? After getting into a mistaken , trivial , argument with another coach he pointed out his qualifications as a recruiter, via Next Guess.
I looed at it and he certainly had a nice record of rrecruiting quality prospects. They however were almost exclusively from his state Massachusetts, and a few more prospects from other New England states.
This distribution is ccrazy when ccompared to California , Texas and Florida.
Louisiana has a better distribution than The whole of New England!
Is it a ppetty point brought on by an accurate but gerrymandered claim? YES! But it chould reflect reality somewhat in this regard.

P.S is there a waway to check the rrecruiting distribution of prior seasons . NEXTGUESS Maybe?

Look at this old school post for a distribution summary and per school average of recruits in 180/360.

Distribution of recruits has always been a sore point for me also. The game almost forces you to pick a team in certain locations because the recruit lottery makes some other schools impossible to be successful. The recruiting set-up also makes recruiting away from your 360 very difficult. The dollar amounts needed to scout and recruit are so skewed as to make a playoff run more on not how well you can play and recruit, but which recruits show up randomly next to your school.

Many things can be done to make recruiting better. My ideas: 1) Significantly reduce dollar amounts for recruiting efforts. Reduce by at least 75% 2) Make scouting region based. A scout shouldn't need $700 each to scout 5 players in Miami from LA. Allow locations say 100 miles to all be scouted for price of $700. 3) If the distributions stay the same, then have recruits who want to play far from home (scout info) decline all advances from close schools. 4) Make some players require recruiting schools to offer "Guaranteed 4 year starter" or "Guaranteed 75% playing time for 4 years" with significant penalties for breaking the promise. 5) Make top 10 (20 or?) so expensive to sign that teams won't be able to afford making offers to more than 2 or 3 per season at D1A. 6) Eliminate campus visit auction system. Give each team 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 or ? recruits to visits by coaching staff per cycle after one CV. Can't see everyone each cycle.

I'm sure more ideas could come out, but some things could be changed.
