I've been trying to find a replacement for the Buffalo franchise in Kenesaw Mountain Landis since the owner knew he was going to miss the MWR and asked to be replaced. At this point the season is almost over, so I'm looking to get a new owner in place for next season.
New Owner Requirements:
This is a team that is going to need a multiple year rebuild, so I want to get an owner that is experienced and has a track record of winning games (ideally 0.520 or better winning % and 50+ seasons). In return, I'm offering a $25 GC for someone that fits this criteria that can help get this process going and possibly stay long-term.
The team has picked up a couple of good prospects recently including:
They are also pretty much a lock to be the #1 pick for next season. If you take over this team, I will share the info I have on these players based on their Amateur/International Scouting. I know I have Watkins and Gallardo, I need to check on Robinson. I will say in this post that Watkins was 85 overall and Gallardo 80 overall (both 20M budgets).
Now let's talk about the bad. They have some rough contracts on their books. They have $80M in committed contracts for next season, and most of these players are overpaid. Now fortunately that number drops to $36M in the following season and $30M the season after that, and then $0.
And so this is why I need someone with experience to help turn this team around. Ideally I would like the next person to stay, but I'm content with someone using the free season to right the ship and not add any new excessive contracts.
