Here are the details of the new bounty for simplicity:

SimBaseball Bounty Eight -- Pocket Pincher:

This bounty, like several of the above, is a little different, it's not going to be awarded to the first to achieve something, but the one who reaches the lowest score between now and the end of the September (with games ending on 9/31/26 PM2 cycle). This one will be a guaranteed winner to the one who achieves the lowest salary team during this time frame for a team that wins at least 90 games.

A team's salary will be considered it's salary at it's highest salaried point. If you waive a player or pick one up, that salary will count even if they never appeared in a game.

I believe I can win 90 in an OL with a $60m team, maybe even $50m. As proof of concept, I am throwing a $60m team in first to see how it does and ill go lower if I am close or successful. The bounty will be paid to whomever can reach 90+ wins with the lowest salaried team between now and the end of September.

I’ll throw one in. I’ll probably start at 60 as well, I feel like I could go a little lower and be competitive but don’t know if I can win 90 so we’ll start there and see how things go!

Just when I was thinking about not playing anymore baseball because I was bored, you have to go and do something like this!

The $60m team started out very poorly and was 5-19 through 24 games; mostly with what I would normally consider hard luck losses, with three extra inning defeats and 5 other 1-run defeats in that span. Only 5 of these first 24 were decided by more than 3 runs, and I won two of those five. Then, fortune turned and we won 11 of our next 13 bringing us to 16-21. I’ve mostly been trading W and L streaks since then and am currently at 21-29.

Fatigue is not an issue, my pitching is in the top 1/3 of the league, but my offense is in the bottom half right now. I do expect that to turn around somewhat as of my starters, 4 are currently tracking to have their worst season on their PH despite my team playing in Hilltop. I can’t imagine that will hold up and I expect them to revert to the mean somewhat and actually score some runs.
