Here it is, Season 45 of amerk1180's format of DEAL Draft League. (DEAL45)
This is a snake style draft involving 24 owners. The draft will take place in the baseball theme leagues forum.
--Each team will draft a full 25 man team plus a stadium. ALL PLAYERS DRAFTED ARE EXCLUSIVE--meaning, once Babe Ruth for example, is off the board, NO ONE else can draft ANY season of Babe Ruth. In other words, no clones allowed of any player, and only ONE season of that player can be used. Which season to use will be up to the owner who drafts him.
-- $200 million cap.
-- We will do one round of drafting per day. Each round will (including Round 1) be ON the clock starting on August 22, meaning you can be skipped if you miss your draft slot time. Each owner gets a half hour draft slot from 9 am to 8:30 pm EST. If you miss your slot, you can be skipped, and make up the pick later in the draft. You can be skipped even when the drafting starts the next day, so be aware.
NOTE: We will not stop at the end of a round to catch up missed picks. Once a round is completed for that day, the draft will continue in "OFF THE CLOCK" mode (no one can be skipped) until the picks stop coming in.
-- For this draft, we will do 17 rounds (days) of one pick per owner, then three days of two picks per owner, and then one day of three picks per owner--so the draft should take 21 days. That gives each owner picks for 25 players plus an exclusive stadium.
-- We WILL be using a DH. There will be NO waiver wire or minor leaguers. During the draft, trades will be allowed, both of unused draft picks and/or actual players who have been drafted. Once the draft is complete though, there will be no trading.
-- The entire WIS baseball database is open. Players from 1885-2025 available for drafting.
Draft order and divisions will be randomly generated once the sign up list is full.
I plan to post the draft order in the Theme League forum on Thursday August 20 and start OFF THE CLOCK drafting (no one can be skipped). We will then pick up Round 1 ON THE CLOCK from wherever we are on Saturday August 22. If you sign up, be ready to make your pick that day because you can be skipped.
