I complained in a lot of worlds and forums about some recent updates. I thought it was only fair to post about things I was wrong about and things that WIS is doing right. It’s important to remember this is a really good game.
First, the injury update seems better than I first thought. The post on the day of the update led me to believe that it didn’t fix recovery. But it looks like it has gotten better. I’m happy to admit I was probably wrong.
Second, though I was against the universal DH, I really appreciate that they allowed each world to vote on it and didn’t force it on everyone. That was a nice touch.
Most important, this game is still a very fun game! We all occasionally point out things that we’d like to change. But overall it’s been an entertaining game for about 20 years now. There are like 150 worlds, some of which are approaching 80 seasons of successful play. We all wish we could still use credits to pay more than 50%. But keep in mind the cost of a season has never gone up (at least since I started playing in 2012). With inflation, this game is probably like half what it cost 15 years ago. So I’m happy for that.
The runner in second base is still incredibly stupid though. That needs to go away and never be mentioned again.
