7/20 12:54 AM rankings are really hard even if you're trying to do them well (which I don't think the "polls" are; the projections might be). There's so little interconnectedness that early-season attempts are basically random, and a good bit ... zlionsfan
7/20 12:54 AM ...of it is as much about what the other teams do as about what you do. (Why we often see sim teams ranked early and then they quickly disappear) Once enough teams have played each other, it's easier to get a feel for relative strength, but ... zlionsfan
7/20 12:54 AM ...it's still difficult to separate how a team should be playing (based on ratings and IQ) vs how a team has got results (which involves coaching and such too). Long story short, it's not too different from real-life power rankings :D coltjj
